Saturday, September 22, 2012 San Diego, CA – An unusually high amount of jet traffic crisscrossed the skies with thick expanding plumes above the incoming clouds. Planes continuously sprayed parallel line segments, X’s and grid patterns. Various aerosol spray pattens expanded into different types of “jet cirrus clouds”. As the planes filled all the blue spaces with white-out, a giant solar halo formed in the streaky haze. Sun dog “chembows” also appeared when chemtrail “feather clouds” line up to the left or right of the sun.

At one o’clock, a large plane flew in from the east to land at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The jet appeared to be a KC-10. A plane described as, “KC-10 Approach” was also photographed the morning of 9/22 by Kevin Baird as posted to Flickr.

Planes this large are a bit unusual at MCAS Miramar (see website, note pic #7). This is the first tanker jet captured landing there by SoCal SkyWatch. Stratotankers have been photographed at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, CA.

  1. If it bothers you then you know little about Aerodynamics, You learn about these in flight school even before your allowed to go up in a plane. These are called Contrails and even para-gliders can produce them from their wings in the right conditions, though I wouldnt want to be the pilot of one in those conditions.

    Now Im too lazy and heading to bed shortly so dont have the time to write up what I know of them based on experience and understanding of aerodynamics so Im going to copy paste from Wiki which has pretty much the textbook definitions anyway (though a little dumbed down).

    Contrails short for “condensation trails” or vapor trails are long thin artificial clouds that sometimes form behind aircraft. Their formation is most often triggered by the water vapour in the exhaust of aircraft engines, but can also be triggered by the changes in air pressure in wingtip vortices or in the air over the entire wing surface. Like all clouds, contrails are made of water, in the form of a suspension of billions of liquid droplets or ice crystals.

    Depending on the temperature and humidity at the altitude the contrail forms, they may be visible for only a few seconds or minutes. Persistent contrails are thought to have a significant effect on global climate.

    The main products of hydrocarbon fuel combustion are carbon dioxide and water vapour. At high altitudes this water vapour emerges into a cold environment, and the local increase in water vapour can raise the relative humidity of the air past saturation point. The vapour then condenses into tiny water droplets which freeze if the temperature is low enough. These millions of tiny water droplets and/or ice crystals form the contrails. The time taken for the vapour to cool enough to condense accounts for the contrail forming some way behind the aircraft’s engines. At high altitudes, supercooled water vapour requires a trigger to encourage deposition or condensation. The exhaust particles in the aircraft’s exhaust act as this trigger, causing the trapped vapour to rapidly condense. Exhaust contrails usually occur above 8,000 m (26,000 ft), and only if the temperature there is below −40 °C (−40 °F).

    As a wing generates lift, it causes a vortex to form at each wingtip, and sometimes also at the tip of each wing flap. These wingtip vortices persist in the atmosphere long after the aircraft has passed. The reduction in pressure and temperature across each vortex can cause water to condense and make the cores of the wingtip vortices visible. This effect is more common on humid days. Wingtip vortices can sometimes be seen behind the wing flaps of airliners during takeoff and landing, and during landing of the Space shuttle.
    The visible cores of wingtip vortices contrast with the other major type of contrails which are caused by the combustion of fuel. Contrails produced from jet engine exhaust are seen at high altitude, directly behind each engine. By contrast, the visible cores of wingtip vortices are usually seen only at low altitude where the aircraft is travelling slowly after takeoff or before landing, and where the ambient humidity is higher. They trail behind the wingtips and wing flaps rather than behind the engines.
    During high-thrust settings the fan blades at the intake of a turbo-fan engine reach transonic speeds, causing a sudden drop in air pressure. This creates the condensation fog (inside the intake) which is often observed by air travelers during takeoff. For more information see the Prandtl-Glauert singularity effect.

    Just for measure heres an image from WW2 showing aircraft with what your calling “chemtrails” this includes dogfighting fighters and bombers carrying bombs.. not chemicals.

    But then again I assume truth really gets in the way of a good scare story.

  2. This is going on in Albuquerque as we speak! Day after day planes flying way lower than 40,000 ft. Leaving thick plume of stuff all day long until our once blue sky is not blanketed w/this crap! What is going on? These planes go east west up down north south all directions. So why r they doing this? What is their purpose? And why doesn’t anyone have an answer? If this was residual from normal aircraft activity fine but CLEARLY that is not the case here. Back n forth all day long……..this is scary crazy! Funny how happening a lot week prior to election, I’m just saying
