Wednesday, June 1, 2011 – San Diego, CA – After a mostly clear Memorial Day holiday weekend, spraying was back in force early Tuesday morning. For the next several days an intensive aerosol campaign took place across Southern California.

On Wednesday morning, jet planes sprayed parallel lines segments which quickly expanded into thick plumes. Particle haze near the jet trails formed multiple parallel lines and spread out across the sky. These “wave clouds” expanded to form a cloud blanket. Overlapping wave patterns and formations ripple through the forming cloud cover. As the clouds seem to boil and thicken, iridescent colors could be seen near the edges.
